Abstract
A microscopic quasiparticle-phonon model (MQPM), based on QRPA phonons, is developed. Both the phonons and the quasiparticles are constructed using the same realistic two-body interaction which yields a consistent framework for the study of the properties of the model. The MQPM is used to calculate energy spectra and beta-decay properties of 127-133Xe. The resulting energies and log ft values are compared with experimental results. Keywords
