Abstract
Eggs‐deposition of Diprion pallidum by first‐generation in the forest. In Carinthia‐Underland, in the Scots pine forest (Pinus silvestris) of farm woodland Dobrowa, in survey of 6000 ha in altitude 470–480 m, occurrence of the gradation of Diprion pallidum 1969–1972.Biotop, sampling, project of research and wanded‐place in the sideshoot are described. The length of pine‐leaf: variational width 11.0 till 54.0 mm, high frequency 31.0 mm (7.4%), then 30.0 mm (6.9%). The beginning of eggs deposited in the pine‐leaf: variational width 1.0 till 18.0 mm, high frequency 4.0 and 4.5 mm (24.7%), then 3.5 and 4.0 mm (16.7%). Number of placed‐eggs in the pine‐leaf: variational width 1 till 14 eggs, high frequency 3 eggs (26.5%), then 4 eggs (22,5%). The range of attack about eggs deposition: variational width between 1.0 and 18.0 mm, high frequency 3.5 and 4.0 mm (16.0%), then 3.0 and 3.5 mm (12.2%). The range of attack about single eggs deposited in the pine‐leaf was investigated. The total production of eggs in the forest: in limits 2 till 403 per fermale, high frequency between 70 and 80 eggs (10.5%), then 40 and 40 eggs (9.4%) and 40 and 50 eggs (8.8%), in the cut 86.7 eggs per female. Keywords
