Abstract
The frequency and temperature dependences of the permittivity ϵ* of ferroelectric liquid crystals are reviewed for the SA-Sc* phase transition in the “bookshelf geometry”. The experimental methods to determine ϵ* are given and the chief results are summarized and briefly discussed by using previously published theoretical models. Keywords
