A method is described for the localization of formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH) after electrophoresis on starch gel. Electrophoresis of FDH from human liver revealed a single band. A survey of 249 samples from Australian Caucasians, Chinese and Indians failed to reveal any genetic variation. Keywords
