Abstract
Sand transport parallel to the direction of wave propagation by waves of arbitrary form over a rippled bed has been investigated in a flume, at the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics of the Dept. of Civ. Eng. of the Delft Univ. of Techn. The transport has been measured by means of a special procedure which does not disturb the process. The measured sand transport is related to the measured wave form parameters. The results indicate that the direction of net sand transport depends upon the form of the waves.Keywords
