Abstract
We investigated the behaviour of thick chiral smectic C samples subjected to an alternating electric field. Various patterns of electrohydrodynamic instabilities have been observed below the unwinding threshold. A resonance-like minimum has been found in the frequency response which is connected with the conductivity of the substance.Keywords
