Abstract
Methods have been developed for the trapping and quantitative analysis of low molecular weight carbonyls in complex gas phase mixtures. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein, and acetone are separated as the 2-4-dinitrophenylhydrazones with a sensitivity of less than 10 ppb. The separation can be done on a variety of commercial C18 reverse-phase columns. Keywords
