Search forν¯e+eScattering

Abstract
An improved cross-section upper limit of 1.9 times that of VA theory is determined for the reaction ν¯e+eν¯e+e. The target, a 7.84-kg plastic scintillator, was enclosed by a composite 330-kg NaI and 2200-liter liquid anticoincidence detector, and was operated in a fission ν¯e flux of 2.2×1013 cm2 sec1. We note some constraints which this limit imposes on theoretical conjectures.
