Abstract
An improved cross-section upper limit of 1.9 times that of theory is determined for the reaction . The target, a 7.84-kg plastic scintillator, was enclosed by a composite 330-kg NaI and 2200-liter liquid anticoincidence detector, and was operated in a fission flux of 2.2× . We note some constraints which this limit imposes on theoretical conjectures.
