Abstract
A simplified layer type coil specimen was used to evaluate the corona resistance of flexible sheet insulation, magnet wire insulation, and varnishes. Tests were made at 110°C with 60-Hz voltage applied to the specimen. The test specimen was shown to be reproducible. The testing procedure is repeatable, and it does permit comparison of the corona resistance of materials and matenal systems. Keywords
