Abstract
S-(5''-Deoxy-5''-adenosyl)methylthioethylhydroxylamine was synthesized and proposed as a means for polyamine biosynthesis regulation. It manifested powerful and specific inhibition of S-adenosylmethionine-decarboxylase from Escherichia coli which could be due to similarity between the enzyme complexes with the inhibitor and the reaction intermediate. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
