Abstract
In the present paper. the adsorption of fatty acids on mineral fine particles (being magnesite and dolomite) was studied in the presence of modifiers and was found to be an effective method of removal from effluent. Different flotation techniques were then carried out in the laboratory, such as dissolved‐air flotation, electrolytic flotation and as well as the conventional froth flotation≫ at bench scale, giving promising results (expressed as recoveries). The floatability of minerals by fatty acids was also investigated with contact angle measurements. Keywords
