Abstract
Rapid intravenous injection of thymoxamine in patients with superficial femoral artery occlusion resulted in increased cardiac output and femoral artery flow, with lowered resistance distal to the block. Skin flow in the affected leg was increased and muscle flow showed a small increase in some patients. Blood pressure and pulse were not significantly altered. Keywords
