Abstract
Hexagonal ferrites are of interest for microwave and millimeter‐wave devices. We have grown single crystal layers of hexagonal ferrites on non‐magnetic spinel substrates using the isothermal dipping method of liquid phase epitaxy. Ferrimagnetic resonance spectra of M‐type layers at 35 GHz exhibited half power linewidths as narrow as 26 Oe. Resonant absorption measurements at frequencies up to 60 GHz showed linear tuning characteristics. For W‐type hexagonal ferrites, the narrowest linewidth observed was 42 Oe.This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
