Abstract
Majority voted redundant systems are widely used. A reliability model is developed and analyzed for N-tuple Modular Redundancy-NMR: (n + 1)-out-of-(2n + 1)-where the units are subject to stuck-at-0, stuck-at-1 or stuck-at-X failures and where failures can occur in a mutually compensatory manner. A reconfiguration of the NMR redundancy, the NMR/Simplex strategy, is proposed and evaluated and its model shown to be included in the general model for the compensated NMR.Keywords
