Abstract
Computers have an unprecedented ability to do tedious calculations almost instantly. leaving the student able to attend to larger concepts. This ability, coupled with the growing availability of low-cost computers with sophisticated display capabilities, makes computers a natural choice for materials intended to improve students’ understanding of functions and graphs. This article outlines the development of an activity that uses the computer's unique capabilities to provide students with a relevant and highly motivating experience with the graphing of equations.
