Abstract
This is a study of the synthesis of absorbable fiber-forming copolymers based on the components of a traditionally absorbable, crystalline fiber-forming and a relatively new liquid slow-absorbing polymer. The copolymers of glycolide (GLY) and 1,5-dioxepan-2-one (DXO) were prepared and characterized. The properties of the fibers made therefrom were assessed for their biological ap plication as absorbable materials.Keywords
