Abstract
The third-order susceptibility is expressed as a summation of interfering resonant terms, each involving the phenomenological linewidth of the transition. Correlations of the finite linewidth of the laser sources with |χ(3)|2 (coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy) and –χ” (stimulated Raman scattering) are performed and closed-form expressions for the theoretical profiles are obtained. Keywords
