Abstract
The influence of ACTH or cortisone on the histopathological pattern (spleen, liver and bone marrow) caused by re-injection of immunized rabbits with typhoid-parathphoid vaccine antigen was studied. When cortisone or ACTH were started simultaneously with the vaccine re-injection, no changes in the typical histopathological picture occurred. If, however these hormones are started 1 week prior to the re-injection, a marked and nearly-complete inhibition of histological reaction resulted. Antibody formation was also inhibited to a similar degree. Keywords
