Anisotropic Phase Transition on Uniaxial Surfaces

Abstract
A centered rectangular lattice-gas model for the chemisorption of H on Fe(110) is studied by transfer-matrix scaling. The results indicate a new type of phase transition to a uniaxial modulated "(3×1)" phase with anisotropic critical behavior.Keywords
