Abstract
EDITOR, - According to extensive clinical trials, sumatriptan combines high efficacy with good tolerability and safety in acute attacks of migraine.1 Although it has not shown any addictive properties in short term and long term safety studies, we report on seven patients with a longstanding history of migraine in whom misuse of sumatriptan developed.
