Abstract
Young's modulus and mechanical loss in some Mn-Zn ferrites (single crystalline and polycrystalline specimens) are measured at 130 kHz as functions of strain amplitude and temperature. The mechanical loss which is steeply dependent upon the strain amplitude is analyzed as the magneto-mechanical loss due to domain wall motion, because magnetic field is induced by mechanical stress of ultrasonic waves through the invese effect of magnetostriction. Keywords
