Abstract
Samples of fat were taken from the peritoneal cavity of dogs which had received daily doses of DDT for 138 days to 2 yrs. The DDT in the fat was detd. by the method of Schecter and Haller. Significant amts. were found stored and the storage increased with the dosage level. Feeding oil solns. of DDT gave greater fat storage than did feeding the undissolved DDT. After discontinuance of adm. DDT disappeared from the fat. The milk of a lactating dog which received 80 mg./kg./day of solid DDT was analyzed upon each of 2 successive days and contained 0.06 and 0.04 mg. DDT/g. of milk, resp. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
