Abstract
An analytical and experimental study was performed to evaluate geometrical and material parameter effects on the stress concentrations of tension specimen end-tab design. The parameters were constrained to those falling within the options set forth in the ASTM Test for Tensile Properties of Fiber Resin Composites (D 3039-76). Geometrical parameters included tab angle, tab thickness, cutoff thickness, tab length, and adhesive thickness. Material parameters included tab material and adhesive material. The tension specimen and thickness were held constant. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
