Magnetic Susceptibility and Electron Spin Resonance of Uranium Pentachloride

Abstract
Magnetic susceptibility of UC15 showed a monotonic increase with lowering of temperature from room temperature to liquid helium temperature in spite of its dimer structure. The magnetic susceptibility, the g-value and the electronic spectra were simultaneously explained on the basis of crystal field model of the octahedral symmetry with a small C2V distortion.
