Abstract
The hyperspherical harmonics method is used to solve the α+N+N three-body problem. The resulting wave functions and corresponding densities are, with satisfactory result, tested against a variety of weak and electromagnetic data as well as nucleon-induced quasielastic reactions (p,p’), (n,p), and (p,n) on as target. A procedure is outlined which generates reliable transition densities for the (projectile, ejectile) part of inelastic and charge-exchange reactions ALi,b)B, bLi*,He, and .
