Abstract
This report describes the first phase of an evaluative study of rehabilitation services to released psychiatric patients. It was found that the greater the involvement of the clients in the program, the less the rehospitalization. Of those who completed the program, only a small percentage were rehospitalized one year after termination from the program (two years after hospital release). Some of the program implications of these findings are discussed. Keywords
