Stability of liquid charged electrets

Abstract
Stability measurements on liquid charged Teflon FEP electrets are reported. The initial decay is nonexponential and strongly dependent on experimental conditions, while the long‐term decay is dependent on foil material and temperature. However, in all cases, there appears to be a single rate‐limiting process with a measured activation energy equal to 1.9 ± 0.1 eV.Keywords
