Abstract
The amt. of plasmin formed by the interaction of fibrinokinase with bovine plasminogen depends both on the amt. of fibrinokinase and on the amt. of plasminogen. The activity of potent plasmin solns. may be reduced by samples of fibrinokinase. Mixtures of plasmin and plasminogen may be prepared which are not influenced by samples of fibrinokinase. An equilibrium reaction between bovine plasminogen and fibrinokinase is suggested for the formation of plasmin. The probable nature of such a process is discussed. Keywords
