Abstract
The X-ray powder diffraction pattern of single-phase Bi2Cr2CaCu2O8+x has been identified and fully indexed using a pseudotetragonal subcell with a=5.408, c=30.83 AA and an incommensurate supercell with reciprocal lattice vectors, q*, given by q*=0.211 b*-c*. For samples with different oxygen stoichiometry x, q* is essentially constant; therefore the incommensurability appears not to be connected directly with oxygen content. Keywords
