Abstract
The electron spin resonance of Mn2+, Cu2+, and x‐irradiated Ni2+ doped calcium tartrate tetrahydrate single crystals was studied. This and earlier results were discussed together in the light of the known crystal structure of the host lattice. The nickel center was interpreted as the d7 Ni3+ ion. A possible doping mechanism for transition metal ions in calcium tartrate tetrahydrate was suggested. Keywords
