Photoinduced absorption and luminescence in polydiacetylenes

Abstract
Studies of photoinduced absorption of crystalline toluene sulphonate polydiacetylene (PDA-TS) and 1-hydroxyhexa-2,4-diyne polydiacetylene (PDA-1OH) show absorption peaks near 1.35 eV. This absorption is compared with photoinduced absorption in polyacetylene and polythiophene and its origin is discussed.Keywords
