Abstract
1. 1) A field trial of treatment with Mel W in 38 cases of T. gambiense sleeping sickness is reported. 2. 2) The toxicity of Mel W proved to be slight; in only one case did treatment have to be discontinued. 3. 3) The indications, so far, are that the new drug may prove to be as effective in all stages of T. gambiense sleeping sickness as any drug at present in use. Keywords
