Abstract
We report Rietveld analyses of neutron powder diffraction data on Tb2Fe14B at 8 and 293 K. Our results confirm the inferences from magnetization measurements that (i) all eight magnetic moments are collinear with the c axis, (ii) the Tb and Fe moments are antiparallel, and (iii) the Tb moments approach their free ion value at low temperatures. Systematics of the variation of the lattice constants and nuclear position parameters across the R2Fe14B series are also discussed. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
