Abstract
The significance of anthropological views for assessing the probabilities of acceptance or rejection of technological change are discussed. Emphasis is placed on the role of technology as a part of integrated socio-cultural systems. The significance of differences in cognitive structures and the possible relations between different kinds of social structures and the acceptance or rejection of technological changes are examined. Keywords
