Abstract
A DBMS package is the single most costly piece of software an organization ever purchases or develops. Because of the increased cost of personnel, however, the probability of reaching the decision to develop this software is remote. As a result, the correct selection must be made the first time, and a practical methodology is needed to guide this process. Keywords
