Abstract
Moderator House: Those of us who have been fortunate enough to have visited Professor Wullstein in Würzburg came away with a tremendous feeling of stimulation regarding the wonderful work he has introduced and in which he is continuing to lead the way. I am sure that, as the remainder of the week unfolds, you will learn much more about tympanoplasty and myringoplasty under the tutelage of Professor Wullstein than you have ever conceived even existed. I have asked him if he would be kind enough to talk with us a little bit about his theories and philosophies of otosclerosis; how he selects his cases for mobilization; his indications for fenestration; what he has to say regarding constant growth or intermittent growth of the focus in otosclerosis, and any other thoughts he has brought to us from his active clinic in Germany.
