Abstract
Summary: The use of minimal heat, formalin, chloramine-T, merthiolate, or phenol as killing agents does not alter significantly the over-all capacity of Listerella monocytogenes to elicit the production of antibodies. Flagellar factors B and D are not affected by any of the agents tested. Flagellar factor A is not affected by minimal heat or formalin but is degraded by chloramine-T, merthiolate, and phenol. Flagellar factor C may be influenced by merthiolate. Keywords
