Lifetimes of charmed baryons

Abstract
Mass-splitting formulas are proposed as a link between charmed-meson and -baryon decays. A large annihilation contribution to charmed-baryon decays is thus obtained, leading to the prediction . The approach is consistent with previous analysis of hyperon decays.
