Abstract
Phosphorus (P) deficiency in the medium caused proline accumulation in the leaves and stems of oilseed rape. This accumulation took place when the P level had decreased in the plant to ca 0.2% d.w. and proceeded very fast when the P content dropped below 0.1% d.w. The magnitude of proline accumulation depended strictly on the P level in the plant.Keywords
