Abstract
For two samples of naval aviation cadets, curvilinear relationships were obtained between barometric pressure readings and the occurrence of signs of the onset of sleep on electroencephalograms obtained during routine EEG examinations. High and low barometric pressures relative to the prevailing average pressures were associated with increased proportions of subjects showing signs of onset of sleep. Keywords
