Abstract
Sixty-two factory workers, 36 with heart disease, and 26 healthy control subjects, were studied during a typical day's work. Observations of energy expenditure, pulmonary ventilation, pulse rate and electrocardiogram are reported and analyzed in relation to the type of work, the influence of heart disease, and possible objective evidence of fatigue. Keywords
