Abstract
In 15 cases of drug allergy the reverse passive transfer of antibodies was in every case successful. According to the result of these expts. in every case of drug allergy the passive transfer of antibodies by means of reverse distant method may be attempted to determine the allergic origin of drug eruptions. The allergic origin of drug eruptions makes the admn. of all anti-allergic treatment nowadays used in the management of allergic disease seem suitable and promising. Drug eruptions are an extraordinarily disagreeable complication of great importance. They can be connected with a drug, the further administration of which is still necessary, or after repeated admn. of the noxious drug the eruptions can appear. To prevent these complications, the comparatively simple method published here is very suitable. In every case suspected of hypersensitiveness to a certain drug, it is sufficient before beginning or continuation of the treatment to inject the serum of the patient into the skin of a patient who is being treated with the suspicious drug. When the immediate reaction is positive (greater than control serum), the patient can be considered hypersensitive to the drug. Keywords
