Abstract
We report on the first observation of magnetic-domain structure during spin reversal under field in ultrathin metallic films with perpendicular anisotropy. The magnetization reversal is either dominated by the nucleation process or by domain-wall motion. The related magnetic aftereffect is analyzed starting from the Fatuzzo theory. Keywords
