Abstract
Stomach lipase was secreted in the pyloric region. The glands of Brunner in the duodenum and the surface epithelium of the ileum showed a well marked reaction. The centers of the lobules of the liver were very active. There was no esterase in the periphery or in the portal system. In the lung, the bronchial epithelium and some areas of the alveolar cells showed a positive reaction. The kidneys showed a small amount of esterase activity, and the perirenal fat showed a large amount of lipase. The nuclei of the spermatids were very active, and the choroidal plexus was positive. The adrenals, brain, organs of circulation, skin, and muscle were negative.
