Abstract
The effect of a fiber-enriched wheat bran product, Fiberform, and a guar gum preparation. Guarem, on postprandial intragastric juice acidity and pepsin and bile acid concentrations was studied in healthy [human] subjects. Fiber-enriched wheat brain significantly prolonged the meal-induced elevation of pH and decrease in pepsin. Both fiber products reduced postprandial intragastric bile acid concentration. [A high-fiber diet is superior to a low-fiber diet in preventing recurrence of duodenal ulceration.].This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
