Preparation of β-Lactoglobulin C

Abstract
B-Lactoglobulin C was prepared from the milk of a single cow of B-lactoglobulin type A/C. The method employs a combination of fraction crystallization and column chromatography for obtaining pure B-lactoglobulin C. This protein which occurs only rarely in individual cows'' milks can now be obtained in a simple and direct method from heterozygous milks.
