Abstract
Wheat seedlings grown in sand culture responded to decreased potassium application with increases in reducing sugar content and in invertase activity. The pH of the seedling press juice and the KM of the invertase preparations both diminished as the potassium supply to the seedlings was decreased. Potassium in the enzyme digest had no effect on the level of activity of the individual invertase preparations.
