Abstract
A Hauser-Feshbach calculation of neutron compound-elastic scattering from Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mo, and Cd in the energy range 0.2-2.0 MeV is made in order to investigate its variation with target and with energy. Transmission coefficients are fixed in terms of the optical nonelastic cross section and attention is paid to the influence of nonzero target spin. Keywords
