Abstract
Counterimmunoelectrophoresis was used to detect infectious bursal disease virus‐specific precipitating antibodies in chicken sera. The method was found to be sensitive, simple, reproducible and rapid — detecting precipi‐tins after 45 min. Results could be read visually, without staining, and they compared favourably with results obtained with the agar‐gel precipitation test. Keywords
