Abstract
Starting with the general equations of the completely transposed n-conductor transmission system expressed in matrix form, the equations are subjected to a similarity transformation. This transformation reduces the general equations to a set of n independent equations. These equations are then subjected to a Laplacian transformation and solved subject to the impression of arbitrary electromotive forces at a certain point of the lines. Expressions are obtained for the resulting traveling waves of voltage and current and the velocities of propagation are discussed. Keywords
